December 13, 2018 - WEConnect International is proud to partner with certified women’s business enterprise Redwood Classics Apparel to support women entrepreneurs around the globe. Utilizing the #PayItForwardFriday call-to-action, Redwood Classics is committing to donate 10% of online sales profits to WEConnect International every Friday leading up to International Women’s Day on March 8th, 2019.
“We are thrilled to see our community of women-owned businesses pay it forward,” says WEConnect International CEO & Co-Founder Elizabeth Vazquez. “Redwood Classics’ generous donation showcases the power of women-owned businesses to drive economic development both globally and within their local communities.”
While women make or influence the vast majority of purchasing decisions, women-owned businesses are continually underrepresented in global value chains. Today, women continue to earn, on average, less than one percent of the trillions of dollars spent on global procurement. WEConnect International’s network of certified and self-registered women-owned businesses are working to change that by championing a global movement to put more money into the hands of women.
“Each community initiative, each opportunity for advocacy, is a chance to have an impact,” says Kathy Cheng, President & Founder, Redwood Classics Apparel. “This partnership with WEConnect International allows us to pay it forward and dedicate our craft to other women globally. We are grateful for this partnership.”
Online purchases to benefit #PayItForwardFriday can be found at Redwood Classics Apparel’s website.
