TORONTO, ON, APRIL 29, 2015 - Kathy Cheng, President of Canadian garment manufacturer Redwood Classics Apparel, has been selected by the Junior Achievement of Central Ontario (JACO) as one of their business innovators for 2015.
Billed as an annual event that celebrates bold thinkers and inspiring leaders, the luncheon will honour Cheng alongside three other inspiring entrepreneurial Canadians: Kim Newport-Mimran from Pink Tartan, Sunny Verma of TutorBright and Shaun Francis of the True Patriot Love Foundation and MEDCAN Health Management.
"In today's competitive, global economy, business leaders need to be innovative, passionate and willing to take risks," says Jane Eisbrenner, President and CEO, Junior Achievement of Central Ontario. "Each of this year's honourees has experienced tremendous success because of their tenacity, creativity and ability to think big. They're true role models of our students."
"It is an honour to be named to such a prestigious group that values creative thinking and risk-takers," says Cheng. "I am thrilled to be able to help inspire and pass the entrepreneurial torch to some of the brightest young people in our community as they take the next steps towards becoming global leaders."
